Drone 3D scan + reverse engineering

Reconstruction of a drone frame. The original frame was broken, a piece was missing and we scanned it in 3D. The accuracy of the scan is 0.05 mm. The tolerance for the reconstruction is 0.02 mm.

Following the 3D scan, the data was reverse engineered. The damaged area was “repaired”. With the 3D model now created, it is possible to manufacture the frame again.
